Common Issues & Fixes
🔴 App crashes on launch
Force-quit the app and reopen. If the issue persists, try reinstalling SportSnap. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID and will be restored automatically.
🟡 Story preview is blank or stuck loading
- Check your internet connection (map snapshots require internet)
- Try selecting a different template
- Tap Re-render or go back and re-enter the editor
🟡 Strava connection fails
- Make sure you have the Strava app installed or a valid Strava account
- Go to Profile → Account Management → Reconnect Strava
- Check that SportSnap has authorization in your Strava settings (strava.com → Settings → My Apps)
🟡 Purchase not unlocking Premium features
- Go to Profile → Account Management → Restore Purchases
- Ensure you're signed in with the correct Apple ID
- Check your internet connection and try again
🟡 Video export fails or is very slow
Video export (Premium) requires significant processing. Make sure your device has at least 500 MB of free storage and try exporting again. Animated route videos may take 15–30 seconds on older devices.
🟡 Weather data not loading in Live Weather Story
Live weather requires an active internet connection and the selected activity must have GPS coordinates. Activities without a route (e.g., indoor workouts) may not show weather data.
